The Willows Bonesetter Shiraz

Bonesetter came about back in 1883 when the family opened Barossas first private hospital.  Wilhelm Heinrich and his grandson Julius Heinrich maintained the tradition, learning the ancient crafts of bone setting and massage from their father.  It proved very profitable.

In 1989 the Scholz family opened a cellar door adjacent to the century old hospital and started selling the first wines under The Willows Vineyard label.

Region/Country: Barossa Valley/Australia

Taste:  Shows typical Barossa voluptuous, richness and structure. Intense and powerful ripe fruit along with supporting fine tannins and stylish savoury oak. It is a multi-layered powerhouse that will reward those who cellar it carefully.

Food Match:  Grilled or roast beef, barbeque ribs, spicy sausages and strong cheeses, especially Cheddar
