Aromas of ripe red fruit such as plums and raspberries, complexed by delicate chocolate and vanilla provided by the oak. Good structure and velvety tannins give it an elegant long end.

It will pair extremely well with leaner red meats, and even lighter cuts like dark meat turkey or roasted pork. It works well with pepper, sage, creamy mushroom sauces, melted cheese, and in particular, blue cheese !
